“I can die now, rebirth mothafucka!” spits Weezy in “Drop the World”, which is literally the only gem you’ll find on Lil Wayne’s rock debut, Rebirth. It’s no coincidence that it’s also the only rap song that you’ll find on the record. Wayne’s over-confidence is what makes the hook to “Drop…” powerful, but the cockiness is unwarranted… he cannot quote unquote “rebirth”…. mothafucka.

With all the problems that CERN’s Large Hadron Collider has had, people are coming up with interesting theories. Physicists, Holger Bech Nielsen and Masao Ninomiya, came up with a theory that the reason for all of the Hadron Collider’s constant stream of problems is that it is being sabotaged by time travelers. I mean this thing could swallow up the world at the flick of switch. Is it coincidence that it is getting awfully close to Mayan’s Calendar Doomsday in 2012. Food for thought.

Brooklyn-indie band Yeasayer has been BLOWING up as of late, with their (what I consider) best Timbaland/80’s-soundtrack stab of an album, the excellent Odd Blood, coming out on Tuesday, the 9th.(Album review coming Monday.)

I feel like it was only yesterday that I was chugging my dad’s scotch (with added cranberry juice) on the way to my junior prom there.
Spank Rock producer XXXChange has dropped a little something to put a glide in your step for the weekend, breaking down the singular elements and remixing the brilliant “O.N.E.” off of Odd Blood.
